In this series I made a portrait of everyone I met on the way from my house to the local Toys 'R' Us. This series was heavily influenced my move to England and a feeling of being an outsider to my new environment and culture. I wanted to find out what is this place I was in? What is England? Who are people called English and British?

I have made self-portraits since I started taking photographs seriously, for at least for 10 years. I must have hundreds of these.

At first it was simply for the convenience of having a model easily available. From since it has moved more on to a field of studying my own identity and self, but the performative nature of my 1st self-portraits still exist.
